The kids at the Shura

We went to a local village to conduct a shura (meeting) the other day.  Unlike normally, very few kids came out to check us out.  The ones that did were unusually kind, happy with what they were given and not begging to the point of annoyance as is all too common.

They did not shy away from my camera either.

Beautiful images – particularly like the one of the little girl with the blue necklace smiling at the camera. I am curious, Dan: what kinds of things do you usually hand out to the kids – sweets, flashlights, pens – what else…?
