My last evening on Al Masaak I walked around the perimeter with my Tokina 11-16mm lens to take a few shots ‘wide-open’.

Nice shots, as always, I particularly like the one through the wire.

  3. Great pics…I especially love the one on the ground with shell……

  4. I’m curious… I don’t mean to imply you’d regret leaving… but is there anything you’ll miss from Al Masaak?

I can find things to miss about any place. Al Masaak was not one of my favorite places taht I spent time at, but it wasn’t the worst either. Some days the relative solitude was welcome & some days it was maddening. So, yes there will be things that I miss, but I do not become easily attached, especially when i know something is temporary, so i have never had the ‘long, sad good-bye’ type feelings that seem to surround me at times.
